Separators with glass mat manufactured by world leaders are used. These separators have very high puncture resistance, low pore diameter and very low electrical resistance. This eliminates shorts through the separators. Enveloping helps in holding active material during bumps and vibrations during service life. The ultra thin separator allows more acid volume in the cell and very low resistance. The glass mat gives support to the active material, ensuring long life, and reduces maintenance of the battery. Plate: The positive plate is made from an alloy of low antimony, selenium and arsenic, for extra corrosion resistance. Negative plate is made from selenium alloy (lead-calcium alloy in the case of maintenance free batteries). These features ensure that frequent topping up is not necessary, and at the same time, the battery gives longer life. Application
